I will admit it is stunning in person.

It always intrigues me when major luxury cars end up at “normal” dealers. It’s one thing to go from an X5 to a Ascent....but from (the good) Maser to a Legacy?

I always just assume that they got it at a dealer auction.

That dealer decal is criminal

I want to go down there and bitch them out over that, it’s fucking hideous .

1-owner, registered here in Whitefish. It appears to be a trade in. This dealer sells Subaru, Ram, Jeep, Chrysler and Chevy.

It was a trade in, bought it in Spokane tho according to the carfax.

I am guessing someone bought a range topping Gladiator.

Or an Outback Limited. COULD YOU IMAGING GOING FROM A 400 HP LUXURY ITALIAN STALLION TO A 172 HP SUBARU?
![]() 10/14/2019 at 17:44 |

They should actually make it a donk if they’re going to label it like that :).
![]() 10/14/2019 at 17:44 |

That surprises for the same reasons that BrianGriffin outlined. Trade in a Maserati on a Subaru? There has to be a story there.
![]() 10/14/2019 at 17:45 |

Yeah, the car is basically new. No reason to trade it in other than it looks pretentious like most high end cars in this town.

That decals decreases the value even more

THEY ARE FUCKING TERRIBLE.

If it’s Ram/Jeep/Chrysler, they’ve probably got the Fiat/Alfa cnnection too and got the dude a new Quattro formagio.

Why is the "K" in Kuotes? Is it sarcastic? Does it signify a fake middle name? Between the overall design of the decal/logo and that, hell no ain't never getting my business!

I bet wholesale value on that Masi is in the very high 20’s at best
![]() 10/14/2019 at 17:51 |

According to the internet that was a $140,000 car MSRP. So that’s like $14/mile.
![]() 10/14/2019 at 17:52 |

And after 1k miles it was probably worth under 100k :)

EDIT: Original comment deleted. I’m an idiot and initially thought this was a Ghibli because I did zero reading.
Wow. Aren’t Ghibili’s that same price point for the same year?

This thing is freaking gorgeous in person. Photo’s do not do it justice. It is basically new.

They guys last name is Kliendschmit or something. Easier to just call him Don “K”.

But why the quotes? It's an initial. It just needs the letter and a period. It makes me think weird things are going on.

They are indeed stunning. They are also stunningly expensive to keep running.

Gotta be honest, I’m not a huge fan of modern
Maseratis. #unpopularopinion

I mean unless it’s got a Prancing Horse on it, and it’s Italian, it’s probably gonna depreciate hard.
I had to recommend that my relatively affluent friend stay away from newish Maseratis if he doesn’t want the depreciation hit.

So last May when I started wholesaling, we bought a ‘17 Quattroporte in a GORGEOUS metallic white. IIRC it was some super limited color run from Masi, it had 400 miles on it, and a MSRP of $ 146,000...we paid $80,000
![]() 10/14/2019 at 18:44 |

What kind of psycho buyer would pick that up? I’d think the dealer manager would be pissed if his buyer for a Subaru dealer came back with a Maser.
![]() 10/14/2019 at 18:45 |

Still wanna know what he traded it for. Ram Rebel? 300C? Hellcat? So fascinating...

Best deal I saw was $34k for a 2016 Giblet. So...yeah, kinda.

Photo’s don’t do it justice.

I thought about that and kind of convinced myself that it was a dealership owner special. You know, the owner wants it so “the dealership” buys it and then when he gets tired of it they sell it. Of course in this case I was dead wrong. Not an entirely unusual situation.

I’ll agree with you there for two reasons: 1- I do think they look better in person, and 2- it looks super clean
![]() 10/14/2019 at 19:20 |

Not exactly the same, but I test drove a 335i at a Mazda dealer, it was like a 2015 with only 5k miles . According to the sales guy the PO traded it in because payment vs. actual usage he was getting out of it. And he lived in DC so there was nowhere fun to open it up. So he traded it in on a Mazda 3.

At that price, solid NP. I’d never buy one new, but that is really nice for the price
